Bridge Elementary School
It got its name from the walking bridge that went across the Elk to the old Elk Refinery 
Brounland School  BROUNLAND GRADE SCHOOL, was
located at the intersection of Brounland Rd and Sproul Rd. which is
south west of Kanawha
State Forest. The first wooden school was torn down and replaced by this simple cinderblock school. Built in 1900, the first school averaged 63 kids.
