Where I-64 Might Have gone:  Page Two

I-64

Good grief! There's HiTop and Pond Gap, all the way up to the head of Kelly's Creek!

I-64

I'll bet the people at Pond Gap would have lost sleep at night over the Interstate noise.

Traveling on.....

I-64

Hey look! That's the Gauley River in the lower right corner!  Where are we going? To Summersville?

I-64

Sure looks like it.  Now heading North on the Gauley!

I-64

Still going North!

I-64

Can you imagine what it would cost to cut a 4 lane Interstate through here?

I-64

Hmmm... seems like we're turning East again....

I-64

OK, I give up.  Where ARE we? And where are we going?

I-64

NO WAY!  We're in Hico?  Yes we are!  And we will keep going one of two ways from here on I-64, but that's enough for this trip.  It really boggles the mind that money was spent on this crazy route.

LAST BUT NOT LEAST:

I-64
This was a proposed bypass route to connect I-64 to I77.  It was going to go up Sissonville Road and turn on Sugar Creek Drive!  A 4 lane highway!  Up Sugar Creek. Man, they would have loved that!

I-64

And here's where it would have connected to I-77.

Hope you have enjoyed our trip!  Come back real soon... ya hear?
