Goff Drug, West Side

This photo of Goff & Son drug store was taken at 208 Charleston Street, ( now West Washington Street )  somewhat near the Kellys Men Shops store.   Checking the old directories,  Goff Drug was listed first on the east end, and then 116 Charleston Street. Apparently by the time this photo was taken, they had moved to 208.  This wasnt unusual back then as businesses moved several times or more on average.  The interesting thing is that this drug store and the meat market to it's right both moved from the east side to the west at about the same time. The West Side was still relatively new, but was growing by leaps and bounds at this time.   See a much larger photo HERE
