Hugh McPherson

 

Hugh first played in Charleston in 1935

Hugh was still very popular in 1948 when he played The Edgewater

Hugh even became famous for having a talking Myna Bird as his co-host

Due to Hugh's interest in UFOs...

Hugh wrote articles for the newspaper on the latest hit records.

The fire that destroyed a lifetime of Hugh's tapes, including some of the most famous Big Bands and singers of all time.  The Braxton County Monster tape was lost in this fire.

 Hugh died of a heart attack in Charleston in 1991
